850 Institutions Developed as Excellence Centers in Himachal Pradesh
1 min readShahpur, 15 December: Kewal Singh Pathania announced that the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh has developed 850 educational institutions as centers of excellence to ensure quality and inclusive education. He highlighted that 15,000 academic and non-academic posts have been filled, including 3,200 teacher posts through batch-wise recruitment and 2,800 posts through the State Selection Commission.
Speaking at the annual function of Government High School, Dadham, Pathania stated that the government has banned mid-session teacher transfers to ensure uninterrupted education. Additionally, 700 PGT and 6,200 NTT posts have been approved for recruitment. Other initiatives include the appointment of 120 college principals and 483 assistant professors, the establishment of Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding Schools, and the launch of the “Mukhyamantri Sukh Shiksha Yojana” for underprivileged children.
Under the “Bal Poshak Aahar Yojana,” 5.34 lakh children from 15,181 schools benefit from additional nutrition, including eggs and fruits, with a budget of ₹12.75 crore.
