LR Group of Institutes Organizes Educational Visit to Women-Led Natural Farming Company

Solan, March 06: Marking the spirit of International Women’s Day, the LR Group of Institutes organized an educational tour for students to Solan Natural Farmers Producer Company Pvt Ltd, India’s first women-centric farmer producer company dedicated to promoting natural farming.
The company, established on August 16, 2022, operates from Subathu and focuses on empowering women farmers through collective leadership and sustainable agriculture practices. The visit aimed to expose students to the inspiring journeys of women farmers who have taken up leadership roles and are actively contributing to rural entrepreneurship.
During the interaction session, students engaged with women farmers and members of the company’s board of directors including Mamta Verma, Urmila Verma, Manju, Bharti Thakur and Vandana Thakur. The participants shared their experiences, challenges and achievements, highlighting how collective organization and determination have enabled them to become self-reliant while promoting natural farming.
On the occasion, the LR Group of Institutes honored the women farmers for their contributions and inspiring leadership. Managing Director Shachi Singh said that International Women’s Day serves as a reminder that women have the ability to lead and transform every sector of society. She noted that the women farmers associated with the company are a powerful example of how organized efforts can empower women and strengthen both society and the rural economy.
Chief Executive Officer Ranjodh Singh Dhillon informed that the company currently works with the support of 102 member farmers and remains committed to promoting natural farming and sustainable agricultural practices in the region.
