7-Day NSS Camp Begins at LR B.Ed Institute Solan

Focus on Sports & Social Awareness

Solan: A seven-day NSS camp commenced at LR B.Ed Institute, Solan, with a strong focus on sports activities and social awareness. The camp began with a prayer session under the leadership of NSS Coordinator Megha Thakur.

The inaugural ceremony was held in the presence of Principal Dr. Nisha Sharma and LR Group Managing Director Shachi Singh, marked by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and Saraswati Vandana. NSS volunteers Rahul Satta and Ritu from the second year also shared their thoughts on NSS and its importance.

Coordinator Megha Thakur informed that the camp will include a variety of sports activities such as volleyball, basketball, kho-kho, kabaddi, cricket, and badminton, aimed at promoting physical fitness and teamwork among students.

Alongside sports, a cleanliness drive will also be conducted, where volunteers will engage in cleaning nearby areas and spreading awareness about hygiene and sanitation among local residents.

The camp will also feature special lectures on various social and educational topics. Addressing the volunteers, Principal Dr. Nisha Sharma encouraged active participation in sports and guided students for the successful conduct of the NSS camp.
