Payment Halted, Work Stalled – Only Government’s Lies Prevail: Jairam
1 min readShimla, February 7: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition **Jairam Thakur** has accused the state government of halting all development works, public welfare projects, and payments for crucial projects. He alleged that the Medical Devices Park project** has been stalled for over a month due to non-payment, raising concerns over the government’s commitment to making Himachal self-reliant.
Thakur stated that while the government boasts about transformation, essential projects are being delayed indefinitely. He criticized the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led administration for failing to implement necessary measures for the state’s growth.
Highlighting the Medical Devices Park project, he said that his government had worked tirelessly to secure it for Himachal, competing with several other states. However, lack of progress under the current government has left the project in limbo, while similar parks in other states, like Madhya Pradesh, have already allocated land to over 36 companies. The project, set for completion by March 2025, is far from finished.
Jairam Thakur questioned the government’s claims of making Himachal self-reliant when critical infrastructure projects are being neglected. He urged the Chief Minister to focus on real governance instead of rhetoric and ensure the timely completion of such transformative initiatives.
