Deputy Commissioner Emphasizes Holistic Development of Children Through Top-Notch Facilities

Shimla, 21 October 2024 — In a meeting chaired by District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap, discussions were held regarding the implementation of the Mukhyamantri Sukh Ashray Yojana and the District Child Welfare and Protection Committee. The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of providing the best facilities to children in care homes for their holistic development. A total of ₹7.17 lakh has been allocated for winter clothing for children, and ₹1,000 per child is being provided for nutritious food. Efforts are also being made to ensure quality education, with eight children enrolled in good schools in Shimla. Other initiatives like monthly picnics and health check-ups are also being carried out to enhance children’s well-being.
