Government Announces 4% Increase in Dearness Relief for Pensioners

The Himachal Pradesh Government has approved a 4% hike in dearness relief for pensioners and family pensioners, raising the rate from 38% to 42% effective from October 1, 2024. This includes AIS pensioners as well. The revised dearness relief will be disbursed with the October 2024 pension. Decisions regarding the payment of arrears from January 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024, will be made at a later date. The Pension Disbursing Authorities (PDAs) will be responsible for calculating the payable relief for each case.
