Inter-House Hindi Short Play Competition Held at St. Thomas School
1 min readShimla, August 13, 2024: In celebration of India’s 78th Independence Day, St. Thomas School, Shimla, organized an Inter-House Hindi Short Play Competition in the school auditorium. Students from classes 6 to 8, representing the four houses—Chinar, Shipkila, Kasturi, and Toshki—participated in this event.
The competition was judged by renowned theatre artist Rupesh Bhimta, Hindi teacher Kiran Marwa from Auckland House Girls School, and Hindi teacher Dilip Sharma from Bishop Cotton School.
The short plays presented were as follows: Shipkila House performed “Andher Nagari Chaupat Raja,” Toshki House showcased “Aaj Ki Narmada Nadi,” Chinar House presented “Pita Ka Balidan,” and Kasturi House delivered “Koshish Karne Walon Ki Kabhi Haar Nahi Hoti.”
The judges praised the students for their outstanding performances and encouraged them to continue exploring their theatrical talents.
The competition results were:
– First Place: Toshki House
– Second Place:Chinar House
Additionally, special awards were given for “Best Actor” and “Best Actress.” Anukalp Raj from Chinar House won Best Actor, while Devina Bijlwan from Toshki House was awarded Best Actress.
The event concluded with blessings and encouraging words from the Principal and the judges.
