600 trucks will get parking in parwanoo mandi in apple season

Shimla, Mar 28 Parking facility will be provided for unloading 600 trucks arriving at Parwanoo Mandi from different regions of Himachal during the upcoming apple season. Along with this, the horticulturists and jobbers will also be able to get basic facilities in the market.
Basic facilities have been made available in the biggest market of the state with an investment of Rs 18 crore. The state government has built six lifts and about 300 auction yards in the Parwanoo market complex. Along with a four-storey building, 70 shops have also been prepared in the market complex. Apart from these, the office of the market committee, a 25-bed dormitory has also been prepared for the farmers and horticulturists. The road to Parwanoo Mandi has also been widened at a cost of Rs nine crore.
During the apple season, there was a problem in taking the trucks to the mandi and there was a jam here. Now apple-laden trucks and other vehicles will be able to move easily in the market. Naresh Thakur, Managing Director, Himachal Pradesh Marketing Board said that facilities have been expanded in Parwanoo Mandi for the upcoming apple season. Parking of more trucks will be possible in the mandi and more auction yard agents will be available during the season
