5G Network by BSNL Coming Soon to Shimla Parliamentary Constituency
2 min readShimla, November 5: The Shimla Parliamentary Constituency in Himachal Pradesh is on the verge of receiving the benefits of BSNL’s 5G network with the installation of 251 mobile towers. In areas where BSNL’s connectivity is currently lacking, efforts are underway to construct these towers for seamless BSNL network service. This announcement was made by Suresh Kashyap, the Member of Parliament for the Shimla Parliamentary Constituency during a press conference held in Nahan on Sunday.
Kashyap stated that there are several areas within the Shimla Parliamentary Constituency that are currently facing issues with signal connectivity. To address this, tower construction has been initiated in these areas. Work on installing these towers has already commenced in some locations. He disclosed that a total of 90 towers are being constructed in Sirmaur, 91 in Shimla, and 71 in Solan under the Parliamentary Constituency. Sirmaur will soon receive the benefits of BSNL’s 5G network, and efforts are being made to convert 2G networks to 4G and 5G in areas with inadequate connectivity.
Kashyap also mentioned that the construction of the 57-kilometer Kala-Amb-Paonta Sahib four-lane road will commence shortly. He explained that the project, estimated at 1200 crore rupees, is assigned to a company from Bhopal. Once the survey work is completed, construction will commence. During his speech, the Member of Parliament shed light on various developmental activities taking place within the Shimla Parliamentary Constituency.
Furthermore, he mentioned that substantial funding from the Member of Parliament’s fund has been allocated to address losses incurred during disasters. Solan has received approximately 1.65 crore rupees, Shimla 1.20 crore rupees, and nearly 1 crore rupees have been provided to Sirmaur from the Member of Parliament’s fund.
During this address, he also criticized the state’s Congress government, stating that various false promises were made by the government prior to coming to power. There were assurances of changes in the system, distribution of OPS, and providing 300 units of free electricity. However, no substantial progress has been observed to date, and the government has reportedly incurred approximately 10,000 crore rupees in debt within the past ten months. Kashyap raised questions regarding the utilization of these funds.
