National Service Scheme (NSS) Seven-Day Camp Inaugurated at LR B Ed College

The National Service Scheme (NSS) seven-day camp commenced at LR B Ed College with an inaugural ceremony led by Professor Suchita Thakur, the event coordinator, who gathered all the students in the auditorium and provided them with directions. The ceremony began auspiciously with the lighting of the lamp by Panchayat Pradhan Kusum Thakur and Principal Dr. Nisha. Dr. Nisha enlightened the students about NSS, emphasizing its role in fostering social service, diligence, mutual cooperation, and personal growth among students.

During the initiation of the camp, second-year trainee Nilaksh Sohta provided a brief overview of the history of NSS and the activities planned for the college. Under the ambit of the seven-day NSS camp, activities such as cleaning the Baavdi of Jabli village, campus sanitation, and various lectures on topics including legal matters, primary healthcare, yoga education, computer literacy, communication skills, and community collaboration will be conducted.

At the outset of the camp, trainees watered all the plants in the department. Additionally, sports activities including badminton, kho-kho, volleyball, kabaddi, and cultural programs will be organized. Panchayat Pradhan Kusum Thakur highlighted the development of values such as goodwill, discipline, and participation among children through NSS activities. She mentioned activities planned in collaboration with the Panchayat, including clearing village debris and cleaning the Baavdi, aiming to raise awareness about cleanliness among the villagers.

Following the Principal’s address, badminton and volleyball competitions were held, with the participation of first and second-year trainees as well as all faculty members.
