360 Candidates Participate on Day One of Army Agniveer Recruitment Ground Test

The physical tests for the Indian Army Agniveer recruitment commenced on Friday at the synthetic track ground in Anu, with approximately 360 young candidates participating on the first day. Director of the Army Recruitment Office, Hamirpur, Colonel BS Bhandari, stated that the candidates underwent rigorous physical tests, including a 1600-meter race, pull-ups, long jump, high jump, and zig-zag balance. Measurements for height, weight, and chest were also taken.
Out of the 360 participants, about 130 successfully cleared the physical tests. Their documents are currently being verified, and medical examinations will be conducted on Saturday. Colonel Bhandari further announced that entry for candidates called for the second day will begin early Saturday morning.
Elaborate arrangements have been made at the recruitment venue for physical tests, medical examinations, and document verification. Strict security measures are in place to ensure the process runs smoothly, and no unauthorized persons are allowed entry into the premises.
Colonel Bhandari emphasized strict measures against the misuse of performance-enhancing drugs. Approximately 20 identified substances will be tested, and candidates found guilty of drug use will face strict action. He also urged aspirants and their families to avoid falling prey to any undue influence or offers related to the recruitment process, reiterating the Army Recruitment Office’s commitment to conducting the process transparently and fairly.
