3-day flower fest concludes successfully at Shoolini Univ

Shoolini University hosted the 7th Flower Festival on the campus which was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor of Nauni University, Prof. (Dr.) Rajeshwar Singh Chandel.
DS Puri, a member of the Royal Horticultural Society and a renowned agriculturist, was also present at the festival and guided the visitors and buyers on how to handle and care for the plants.
The launch of eco-friendly in-house created pots, made from waste materials, priced to be a big hit. Visitors also learned how to create such pots from waste materials they encounter every day.
A helpdesk was also arranged for the visitors to inform how they can grow and propagate plants in their homes. A variety of food stalls, fun games, meditation and yoga sessions, and other activities were also planned to keep visitors of all ages entertained.
Painting and flower arrangement competitions were also organised in the flower festival, the winner of the painting competition was Pranjal Chahar from Pinegrove International School, Dharampur. Flower arrangement was won by Sanvi Sharma and Yashita Parmar from St. Luke’s School, Solan.
Suresh Sharma, Assistant Director Landscape and Chief Creativity Officer at Shoolini University, said various varieties of flowering and ornamental plants were exhibited in a variety of growing pots. He further said that more than 1,000 visitors attended the flower festival.
