₹25 Crore Development Works Underway in Rait, Says MLA Pathania

Shahpur, April 13: MLA and Deputy Chief Whip Keval Singh Pathania said that development works worth around ₹25 crore are currently underway in Rait, highlighting the government’s focus on strengthening infrastructure and education.
During his visit, Pathania inaugurated an additional classroom built at Government Primary School, Rait, at a cost of ₹4 lakh. He emphasized that the state government is improving the quality of education through a cluster-based approach, ensuring better use of shared resources like laboratories, libraries, and playgrounds.
He also announced that the foundation stone for a new day-boarding school building in Rait will be laid soon by Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
Referring to student welfare, Pathania highlighted the Bal Poshan Aahar initiative, under which children from nursery to Class 8 are being provided eggs or local fruits once a week to improve nutrition levels.
On the occasion, he distributed school bags to students and handed over ₹11,000 each to several Mahila Mandals as encouragement support. He also interacted with local residents, addressing many public grievances on the spot.
The MLA shared a personal connection with the school, recalling his own childhood education there, and expressed pride in contributing to its development.
