2368.2 litre Country liquor seized during spl drive

Shimla, Oct 16 – Himachal Pradesh police seized 2368.2 liters of country liquor, 77 liters of English liquor, 264 liters of Illicit liquor, and 47.7 liters of beer and detected 101 cases under Excise Act during a fortnight long Special drive across all Districts in Himachal Pradesh.
50 FIRs were registered under ND&PS Act in which 14.954 kg. Charas, 95.09-gram Opium, 15.284 kg Poppy
Husk, 283.494 gram of Heroin and 4000 Poppy plants were seized across all the Districts.
Out of the above, 30 FIRs were registered w.e.f. 08.10.2022 to 14.10.2022 in which 10.112 kg Charas, 84.85 gram Opium,1.16 Kg Poppy Husk and 198.41 gm Heroin were recovered by the Police.
Detection under Mining Act. During the special campaign, 02 cases have been registered under the Mining Act.
Beside this, 267challans have been imposed for illegal mining, out of which 212 challans have been compounded by the Police and fine of Rs. 13,02,120/- wasrealize from the violators.
However, remaining 55 challans were sent to court. 38 vehicles involved in illegal mining were also seized by the police.
A total 398 Non Bailable warrants (NBWs) have been executed during first 14 days of the campaign, which includes 49NBWs of other States.
Total 21 Proclaimed Offenders (POs) have been apprehended by the Police during special campaign upto 14-10-2022.
In addition to above, special drive has also been launched w.e.f. 01.10.2022 to 31.10.2022 to trace the missing women and children.
During special drive, 50 women, 09 girls and 02 male children have been traced by the Police up to 14.10.2022.
The special campaigns are continuing and progress of the same will be shared periodically.
