22 New Villages Selected Under PM Adarsh Gram Yojana in Bilaspur: DC

Bilaspur, February 27: Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar chaired the quarterly meeting of the District-Level Convergence Committee under the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana (PMAGY), announcing the selection of 22 new villages across the district for integrated development. The scheme focuses on villages with over 40% Scheduled Caste population, prioritising improvements in education, healthcare, roads, drinking water, sanitation, and other basic infrastructure.
The newly selected villages span subdivisions including Sadar Bilaspur, Ghumarwin, Jhandutta, and Sri Naina Devi Ji. The DC informed that out of 25 villages selected earlier under the scheme, development works have been completed in 21 villages, while the remaining four are nearing completion.
He directed all concerned departments to ensure timely execution of works so that eligible rural households fully benefit from the scheme’s developmental initiatives.
