Rs.17 Crore Sanctioned for Road Restoration in Rampur

Shimla, September 30, 2025:
Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh announced that ₹17 crore has been sanctioned for the restoration of flood-damaged roads and retaining walls in Rampur Division. During his inspection at Taklech, he directed officials to ensure durable repairs and emphasized geo-studies and mitigation plans for long-term solutions. He stressed proper debris dumping to protect the environment and assured timely completion of all works.
Later, at Jhakri, the Minister inaugurated *R.K. Fitness Gym*, urging youth to stay away from drugs and adopt sports and exercise for a healthier society. He highlighted that only healthy youth can build a strong nation.
Addressing locals, he further informed that the Centre has approved ₹135 crore for the construction of a new bridge at Jhakri. He is on a two-day tour of Rampur Assembly constituency, reviewing disaster restoration works, and will visit the Ganvi area on October 1.
The event was attended by HP State Finance Commission Chairman & Rampur MLA Nand Lal, HPCC President Pratibha Singh, Zila Parishad Chairperson Chander Prabha Negi, SDM Rampur Harsh Amrendra Singh, and others.
