15,000 Posts to be Filled in Education Department: Rohit Thakur

Hamirpur, 26 January: The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Hamirpur. The district-level event was held at the Anu Synthetic Track Ground, where Education, Printing, and Writing Materials Minister Rohit Thakur hoisted the national flag and took the salute at the grand parade.

The parade, led by Parade Commander SI Andesh Kumar, featured police, homeguards, NCC, NSS, Scouts & Guides, and special needs children marching with great pride.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Thakur highlighted the historic importance of 26th January as the day India adopted its constitutional framework in 1950, marking the nation as the world’s largest democratic republic. He paid tribute to freedom fighters and soldiers, acknowledging the significant contribution of Hamirpur in the Indian Armed Forces.

Thakur also discussed the achievements of the state government in its two-year tenure, including a Rs. 4500 crore relief package for families affected by natural disasters and the declaration of minimum support prices for organic crops. He also mentioned improvements in the healthcare sector, with new medical colleges and model hospitals being established across the state.

In education, Thakur announced the filling of 15,000 posts, with significant progress in promoting Deputy Directors and appointing College Principals. He also highlighted the introduction of English medium education from the first grade and the approval for the recruitment of 6,200 NTT teachers for pre-primary classes.

Thakur shared that the government is committed to providing welfare schemes for the people, including the “Sukh Ashray” program, and ensuring that the benefits reach the last person in society. He also honored freedom fighters, officials, panchayat representatives, cooperative society workers, and talented athletes during the ceremony.
