11 Judges Promoted and Transferred in Himachal Pradesh Before Diwali

Shimla: Ahead of Diwali, the Himachal Pradesh High Court has issued orders promoting and transferring 11 District Judges and Additional District Judges. Registrar Madan Kumar from the High Court has been appointed as District and Sessions Judge at Kinnaur, Rampur Bushahr. In turn, District and Sessions Judge Barinder Thakur from Kinnaur will now serve as Registrar at the High Court.
Additionally, Ranjit Singh, Additional District and Sessions Judge of Palampur, has been promoted and appointed as Member Secretary of the Himachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority. Prakash Chand Rana, previously posted at Paonta Sahib, has been promoted to District and Sessions Judge, Kullu. Furthermore, the Chief Judicial Magistrate from Bilaspur has been promoted to Additional District and Sessions Judge and posted at Palampur.
New Responsibilities Assigned
– Sheetal Sharma from Mandi’s Fast Track Court (POCSO) has been transferred to Additional District and Sessions Judge Court-II, Dharamshala.
– Vivek Khandelwal from Solan’s Fast Track Court (POCSO) has been appointed to Additional District and Sessions Judge Court-II, Solan.
– The Additional District Judge from Kinnaur’s Fast Track Court (POCSO) has been transferred to Court-II, Mandi.
– The Additional District Judge from Kangra’s Fast Track Court (POCSO) will now serve as Additional District and Sessions Judge Court-III, Kangra.
Furthermore, Special Law Secretary Gurmeet Kaur has been promoted to Additional District and Sessions Judge, and Chief Judicial Magistrate Kapil Sharma from Una has been promoted and posted as Additional District and Sessions Judge in Paonta Sahib.
