₹10 Lakh Life Insurance for Sanitation Workers: NCSK Chairman

Shimla, March 5, 2025 – National Commission for Safai Karamcharis (NCSK) Chairman M. Venkatesan directed officials in a meeting at Bachat Bhawan, Shimla, to ensure ₹10 lakh life insurance for all sanitation workers. He also emphasized timely salary, EPF, and better working conditions.

Workers can avail loans up to ₹50 lakh under NSKFDC for sanitation equipment. Outsourcing agencies must issue ID cards with essential details and provide health checkups, uniforms, and bonuses.

A helpline (011-24648924) has been set up for worker grievances. Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap assured compliance with the directives.
