SJVN Observes World Environment Day 2025 with Green Initiatives

Shimla, 05 June 2025 – SJVN commemorated World Environment Day 2025 at its Corporate Headquarters in Shimla and across all project sites. Director (Personnel) Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma led the celebrations by administering the Environmental Conservation Pledge to employees, reinforcing SJVN’s dedication to sustainable development.

Sharma emphasized the company’s continuous efforts in environmental conservation and encouraged individual and collective responsibility for a greener future. In celebration, various employee competitions such as a quiz, origami, and best-out-of-plastic-waste were organized. Winners were felicitated by Sh. Sharma, with Executive Director (HR) Sh. Chander Shekhar Yadav and other officials in attendance.

Saplings were distributed to promote green living, and an e-waste collection drive yielded 30 kg of electronic waste for responsible disposal. The 2025 theme, “Ending Plastic Pollution,” was actively embraced under the global campaign #BeatPlasticPollution.
