SJNPL & SUEZ India Promote Water Conservation in Shimla Schools

Shimla, March 22, 2025 – To mark World Water Day, Shimla Jal Prabandhan Nigam Limited (SJNPL) and SUEZ India organized a quiz competition across three schools in Shimla, aiming to educate students about water conservation and responsible water usage.

Over 1,000 Students Participate in Awareness Drive

Students from Government Senior Secondary School Chhota Shimla, Government Senior Secondary School Mashobra, and Crescent Senior Secondary School, Tutikandi took part in the quiz, which focused on water management, pollution control, and strategies to prevent wastage. More than 1,000 students engaged in the event, demonstrating keen interest in sustainable water practices.

Interactive Learning and Awareness Session

Officials from SJNPL and SUEZ India conducted an awareness session, highlighting the critical need for water conservation and discussing Shimla’s ongoing water projects. They emphasized the importance of reducing wastage, rainwater harvesting, and the role of the younger generation in protecting natural water sources.

Winners to Be Felicitated Next Week

The best-performing students from the competition will be awarded next week at a special ceremony. Organizers believe that recognition and incentives will further inspire students to take an active role in water conservation efforts.
