School Level Quiz Competition Held in over 7000 schools across State to commemorate World Earth Day 2022

HP State Pollution Control Board in association with Department of Education, Govt. of Himachal Pradesh conducted school level Quiz Competition in over 7000 schools across the State to commemorate World Earth Day 2022 on 22nd April 2022 with an objective to raise awareness of the students on issues pertaining to environment protection and pollution control. All the schools conducted quizzes for their students, which focussed on preservation of environment, pollution control and protection of Earth. The Quiz competitions were organised in two groups viz., Junior (Class- VI-VIII) and Senior (Class- IX-XII) and the students from VI to XII (both Government and Private) from Middle Schools (VI-VIII), High Schools (VI-X), Sr. Secondary Schools (VI-XII) participated in the said competition with great enthusiasm and fervour. Some of the schools not only participated in Quiz Competition but also actively participated in painting and cleanliness activities soon after the completion of Quiz Competition around their premises.
I convey my sincerest thanks to the students, teachers and field functionaries of the Department of Education and HP Pollution Control Board and congratulate them for successful conduct/completion of Quiz Competitions on such a massive scale. Meanwhile, the list of winners of the competitions are being compiled for giving away certificates and awards.
