Mercury stays above normal in Himachal

Shimla, Feb 14 – The bright sunshine and rising temperatures were recorded at several places of the state as the cold wave subsided as pleasant weather prevailed in most part of the state.

Meteorological Department said that Minmum temperature of Shimla recorded 7.8 degrees and 4.3 above normal, Kalpa minus 1.4, Dharamshala 5.2, Una 4.8, Nahan 10.4, Keylong minus 6.6 and 4 degrees above normal,Solan 7, Manali 1.6, Kangra 5.5, Mandi & Bilaspur 5, Hamirpur 3.6, Chamba 5.2, Dalhousie 8.4 Jubberhatti Airport 8.8, Kufri 7.2 and Narakanda 4.6 degrees. In the snow bound Lahaul-Spiti, Chamba and Kullu district 153 roads and three National Highway are still closed. District Administeration Lahaul-Spiti said that Manali Leh National Highway ( NH – 3 ) upto Darcha and Pangi Killar Highway ( SH – 26 ) upto Udaipur is open for local four by four vehicles. NH,-3 ftim Darcha to Shinkula and Kaza road ( NH – 505 ) from Gramphu to Kaza id closed. How NH 505 from Sumdo to Hal is open for four by four vehicles. Due to mainly suny Weather Maximum temperature likely to stay above normal in the day.
