29th Himachal Pradesh Children’s Science Congress Concludes
1 min readHimachal Pradesh Council for Science, Technology & Environment (HIMCOSTE) has been involved in science popularization programmes since its inception in 1986. The HIMCOSTE has a wide outreach through Science Popularization programmes. HIMCOSTE is organizing Children Science Congress in collaboration with Department of Elementary Education, H.P. since 1993. This year too the Children Science Congress was organized in spite of the Covid-19 pandemic situation in which 21,896 (Twenty-one thousand eight hundred ninety-six) child scientists registered across the state.This year, the programme was organized through video conferencing/ online mode w.e.f 28th – 31st December,2021.
Out of the total students registered 550 students across the state were selected to participate in the state level event w.e.f. 28th December to 31st December, 2021. During the congress, scientific project report, science activity corner, maths Olympiad, science quiz and innovative science model organizedsuccessfully for the 6th to 12th class students.
Five activities were organized during three days in which 73 students were declared as winners in different activities at the state level. 16 winners of scientific project reports will participate at National level Children Science Congress.
The closing ceremony was presided over by the chief guest Sh. Sat Pal Dhiman, Joint Member Secretary, HIMCOSTE. Chief guest congratulated the winners and interacted with the child scientists and conveyed his best wishes to participants of National Level Children’s Science Congress.
