UX and Product management Workshop held

A workshop was organised on UX and Product management at Shoolini University on Thursday.
Bikramjit Singh, Vice President, Digi mantra labs, spoke about how UX was different from UI where even if the students have a very minimal understanding of design, they can still be part of User experience and product management workshop.
He also explained about the stages which are involved in product design and how important it is to maintain a portfolio for the same.
The speaker gave few examples of how simpler ideas can make a huge difference in today’s scenario.
He mentioned how jobs in user experience is a new industry that is booming with a lot of job opportunities all over.
All the applications, starting from online shopping apps to booking apps are based on the user interface.
Bikramjit Singh also mentioned how the product designs have changed with the change in lifestyle and comfort of people.
Bikramjit mentioned how simple it is for everyone to start a designing journey just with a lot of  practice.
“The problem statement has to be crisp and clear to achieve the final product” said Bikramjit Singh.
UX jobs are 25 per cent more paid than the other developer jobs and even “The insurance companies are looking for people who come from the user experience background” said the speaker.
He also mentioned about different platforms such as Material 3 and so on that the budding designers can use to enhance their skills.

The workshop ended with a vote of thanks from Rohit khosla, who also mentioned, that Shoolini University has tied up with Digi mantra for Industry interaction and also assured to take  interested students from different departments to the Digi mantra labs.
