Shoolini University shines in Global Top 100 in THE Impact Rankings 2025

Shoolini University has reached a historic milestone by securing a spot among the Top 100 universities in the world in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025.
Ranked 96th globally out of 2,318 institutions, this marks the first time the university has entered the prestigious Top 100. With an improved overall score of 89.6, up from 86.7 last year, Shoolini stands tall as one of only four Indian universities to achieve this global distinction.
The THE Impact Rankings assess universities for their real-world contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this global assessment, Shoolini University emerged as a front-runner across several key SDGs:
• #1 in India and #38 globally for SDG 13: Climate Action, recognising its efforts toward environmental sustainability and climate solutions.
• #4 in India and #21 globally for SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, highlighting its innovation in sustainable energy practices.
• #3 in India and #22 globally for SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, showcasing its initiatives for water conservation and access.
• #3 in India and #95 globally for SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, emphasizing its commitment to sustainable resource use.
• Joint #1 in India in the #101–200 global band for SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, reflecting its strong global collaborations.
• #10 in India in the #201–300 global band for SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, underlining its contributions to healthcare and public well-being.
Prof. P.K. Khosla, Chancellor of Shoolini University, remarked, “This recognition is a result of our dedication to excellence in research, teaching, and sustainability. Introduced in 2019, the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that evaluate universities on their alignment with the UN’s 17 SDGs. These rankings emphasize not just academic excellence, but also contributions to climate change, health, clean energy, equality, partnerships, and community outreach.
US News and World report also ranks Shoolini among the best
In another proud moment, Shoolini University also secured the 4th position among Indian institutions in the U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities Rankings. Shoolini ranked behind only IISc Bangalore, IIT Madras, and TIFR Mumbai. The university earned a Global Rank of 667 and a Global Score of 47.7, further solidifying its position as a globally competitive research institution.
