Educational institutions have been instructed to prohibit teachers and staff from creating non-educational videos or reels and engaging in unnecessary social media activities within the campus during school hours. The directive aims to ensure that the focus remains on academic excellence, personality building, and nation-building activities, fostering an environment conducive to holistic student development.
The order highlights that such activities divert students’ attention from essential educational goals and may encourage harmful social media use. Heads of institutions have been directed to maintain vigilance and actively engage students and teachers in meaningful academic, co-curricular, and extra-curricular pursuits.
The authorities emphasized that channeling students’ energy into constructive activities will help them develop into exemplary individuals and responsible future citizens.
