In the field of engineering, project management is also a career oriented option if engineering students are interested in project management. In this context, Dr. Bhartesh Kumar, from engineering department of APG Shimla University, in association with Bangluru based OBDE Technologies conducted one day webinar here on Saturday. Project management veteran Raj Subbiah and Sujeet Kumar from OBDE Technologies were the key speakers in the webinar. Professor Dr. Ramesh Chauhan, Vice-Chancellor of APG Shimla University, inaugurated the webinar as a chief guest. “Project management is not only a better career option but it is also a management of living a secured life”, said Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ramesh Chauhan while addressing the engineering students of APG varsity. Prof. Chauhan added more that project management is a genre of engineering through which humans can overcome over the challenges of life, coming daunting time and stymie calamities. Professor Chauhan said that life management also ought to be so that can decay the devil like mayhem of Corona pandemic at present time the world population are facing, and overcome over other portentous coming evils. He said that today we all need of project managers who can provide life as a better life to lead and make better career in project management as well. Mean to engineering is not only by house-building, bricks, road-building, power and mechanical fields but it is also an engineering of life living which can be improved better through better project management, said Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ramesh Chauhan. Project management veterans Raj Subbiah and Sujeet Kumar addressed the engineering students that to be better project managers, they must have prowess and wherewithal in analysis the demands, manufacturing methods, procedures, improvement in process, technical understanding, documentation skills, design skills, management skills, security management, observation, skills like CAD designs. The experts said that project management in engineering required onus in different industries, companies, organizations, public and private sectors which are performed by project managers and they manage big projects as well, and they ensure to reduce perils and leverage the project and project organization. The experts told the students that in this context training, learning are most important tools if students are interested in choosing project management as a career option along with engineering study but for it they have must technical learning as important to concoct the estimated cost of the project.
