In Solan, on October 2, 2023, NCC cadets from 1HP Bn NCC Solan, affiliated with Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat, embarked on a meaningful mission under the guidance of Dr. Amit Kumar Jakhar. The objective of their mission was twofold, focusing on visual cleanliness and the welfare of Safai Mitras.
The cadets recognized that cleanliness is not merely a responsibility but a demonstration of love and respect for the environment and the community. A clean environment promotes good health and instills a sense of pride and unity among residents, and this drive aimed to enhance overall hygiene and cleanliness within the community.
The day commenced with a walk from the university campus to the villages of Domehar and Waknaghat. Armed with garbage bags and high spirits, the cadets set off enthusiastically on their mission to participate in the cleanliness drive and raise awareness about sanitation.
The NCC cadets were organized into two groups, with one heading towards Waknaghat and the other to Domehar, both on foot. Along the way, they encountered a diverse range of flora and fauna, emphasizing the importance of environmental preservation.
Upon reaching their destinations, the cadets seamlessly transitioned into their roles as advocates for cleanliness and hygiene. They made remarkable efforts to pick up nearly every bit of garbage in sight.
Throughout the drive, the cadets displayed unwavering determination and high spirits, sending a clear message to the locals about the importance of sanitation and hygiene.
This initiative serves as a call for the community to come together and make a positive impact. By participating in this cleanliness drive, they not only contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment but also strengthen the bonds within their community.
