Navodaya Theog Students Bring Glory to Himachal at National Youth Parliament

New Delhi, January 15, 2026: PM Shri School Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Theog, District Shimla, has brought pride to Himachal Pradesh as its students delivered an outstanding performance in the 26th National Youth Parliament Programme.
A team of **eight students—Angel Rani, Aarushi Rolta, Vanshika Thakur, Jaini, Angel Pandey, Sashi Ringzin, Girik Vyas and Dhruv—**secured first position at the regional level and achieved fourth position at the national level.
The students were honoured during a grand ceremony held at Mavalankar Hall, New Delhi, where Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India, presented the awards.
The National Youth Parliament Programme aims to enhance students’ understanding of parliamentary procedures, promote democratic values, and develop leadership, discipline, and effective public speaking skills. The JNV Theog team impressed the jury with their strong subject knowledge, confident expression, discipline, and teamwork.
School Principal Roshan Lal credited the achievement to the students’ hard work, the continuous support of mentor teachers, and the school’s academic and co-curricular environment. He said the success would inspire other students to excel.
