Nauni’s environment science students secure admissions in top institutions

The students of the Department of Environmental Science, Dr. YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, have brought laurels to the university as four of its postgraduate students have successfully secured admission to PhD programmes at prestigious national institutes.
Nivedita Kapoor, Dimple, Vipasha, and Urvashi Rana, all MSc Environmental Science graduates, have been selected for doctoral programmes at leading institutions.
Nivedita Kapoor has been admitted to the PhD programme at the Centre of Excellence in Disaster Mitigation and Management, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, through the UGC-NET JRF. Dimple and Vipasha have secured admission to the PhD programme at National Institute of Technology (NIT), Hamirpur through UGC-NET scholarships and are availing fellowships from the Ministry of Human Resource Development. Urvashi Rana has been admitted to the PhD programme in Agricultural Environmental Science at the National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), Sonipat.
The University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Rajeshwar Singh Chandel, along with the faculty of the department, congratulated the students on their achievement and extended best wishes for their future academic and research pursuits.
