National Conference on “Post-COVID Chaos and Research” Hosted by APG Shimla University

Shimla, October 6 – The School of Science and the School of Engineering and Technology at APG Shimla University hosted a two-day national conference on “Post-COVID Chaos and Research” on October 5th and 6th. The event brought together renowned speakers, researchers, and educators to discuss emerging scenarios in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Rohini Dharela, Dean of the Science Department at APG Shimla University, extended a warm welcome to all attendees. The inaugural session was graced by the presence of Dr. Rajinder Singh Chauhan, the Chancellor of the university, who inaugurated the program. In his address, Dr. Rajinder emphasized the crucial role of sustained, comprehensive, and integral research in promoting human well-being.
The first day’s keynote speaker, Dr. Navditya Tanwar Kaundal, shed light on the interplay between health and law in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. He analyzed post-pandemic events and shed light on the implications and innovations arising from the crisis.
The first day of the conference featured 20 oral presentations by accomplished researchers and society members, complemented by 10 poster presentations. The closing of the first day included a vote of thanks by Dr. Ankit Thakur, the convener of the conference.
The second day commenced with the presence of Chief Guest Engineer Suman Vikrant, Chancellor of APG Shimla University, and Guest of Honor, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Ramesh Chauhan. Dr. Gaurav Gupta and Dr. Ravinder Kumar, invited speakers from Shoolini University, contributed their insights as the speakers for the day.
Dr. Ravinder Kumar offered insights into the practical applications of fuzzy theory in real-life scenarios, enhancing understanding of its relevance in the real world. Dr. Gaurav Gupta’s presentation focused on research implications and the broader analysis of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The educational session concluded with cultural programs and an awards ceremony. Anita Chauhan secured the first prize in the oral presentation category, while Inu Hangma and Sumek Subba received the first prize in the poster presentation category. Jyoti Devi and Aditi Sharma were awarded second prizes.
Dr. Maninder Kaur, the conference chair, expressed her gratitude to the participants and organizing committee for the successful planning and implementation of the conference.
