JUIT Promotes Women in Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Solan, March 13: Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) commenced a significant initiative with the inaugural ceremony of a one-week Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Women in Innovation and Entrepreneur Development (WIED) from March 11 to 15, 2024. This collaborative effort involved Intellectual Property Rights Cell (IPR), National IP Awareness Mission (NIPAM), and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC).
The event, conducted seamlessly through Google Meet, provided a platform for insightful lectures delivered by esteemed guests and faculty members. The inaugural session saw the participation of key figures, including Dr. Sudhir Kumar, Coordinator of IPR Cell at JUIT, Dr. Ashish Kumar, Head of Civil Engineering Department, Dr. Vivek Kumar Malik (Associate Dean Innovation and Incubation, Coordinator IPR Cell IIT Roorkee), Dr. Mini Giri from IPR Cell IIT Roorkee, Prof. Shruti Jain, Associate Dean (I) and Member Secretary of IPR Cell at JUIT, along with Dr. Aman Sharma and Dr. Saurabh Rawat, Co-coordinators of IPR Cell at JUIT.
With over 50 participants from across India, the FDP aims to empower women in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship. By bringing together experts and participants, the program strives to create a conducive environment for learning, collaboration, and skill development.
The focus on Women in Innovation and Entrepreneur Development underscores the university’s commitment to fostering diversity and inclusivity in these critical domains.
