JUIT Hosts Insightful Debate on Artificial Intelligence

Solan, March 22 – On March 21, 2024, the Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence for Education (CoE-AIE) at Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) organized a thought-provoking debate competition titled “Artificial Intelligence – Boon or Curse”.
The event, spearheaded by Dr. Hari Sing Rawat, Dr. Shruti Jain, Dr. Tiratha Raj Singh, and Dr. Vipul Sharma, along with student coordinators Ms. Rohini Singh and Ms. Kanik Simer from M.Tech (Data Science), attracted participants from various undergraduate and post-graduate programs. Students engaged in spirited discussions, showcasing their insights and perspectives on the topic.
After intense deliberation, Parth Gupta, Avnie Agarwal, and Ramandeep Singh Makkar emerged as the winners, securing the top three positions. Their outstanding performances were acknowledged with participation certificates and cash prizes.
The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Rajendra Kumar Sharma, the Vice Chancellor of the university, who honored the winners and distributed the awards. Prof. Sharma commended the organizers and participants for their efforts and encouraged continued exploration and debate on the subject of artificial intelligence.
