Jaypee University of Information Technology Earns Three New Patents

Solan, Aug 29 : Jaypee University of Information Technology recently earned three new patents. A national patent is granted to JUIT on “NON-NATURAL SHORT CATIONIC ANTIMICROBIAL LIPOPEPTIDES”. Inventors are Dr. Gopal Singh Bisht, Associate Professor, Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics and Dr. Sandeep Lohan. Recently an International patent was grated on “Device for Measuring Severity Estimation in Muscular Atrophy and Inflammation of Muscles”. Dr. Tiratha Raj Singh, Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics is one of the inventor in this patent. Another International patent was granted to Jaypee University on “Internet of Things (IoT) based infrared health monitoring system for newborn babies” where inventors are Prof. Vivek Sehgal, Head, Department of CSE/IT, Prof. Shruti Jain Associate Dean (Innovations), Department of ECE, Dr. Harsh Sohal, Associate Professor, Department of ECE, Dr. Aman Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE/IT and Dr. Shubham Goel, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE/IT. Vice chancellor of JUIT Prof. R.K. Sharma congratulated all the inventors and also motivated other faculty members to work hard to get more patents in near future.
