HPNLU, Shimla Welcomes New Batches

Shimla, August 2, 2025 – Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, organized the Deekshaarambh 2025 Orientation Programme to welcome the new batches of B.A.LL.B./B.B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) 2025–2030 and LL.M. 2025–2026. The event was held under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, HPNLU.
Distinguished dignitaries graced the occasion, including Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sandeep Sharma (Judge, High Court of Himachal Pradesh), Prof. (Dr.) V.C. Vivekanandan (Vice-Chancellor, Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur), and Advocate Akshay Pathak (Principal Associate, Khaitan & Co.), who inspired students with their insightful addresses.
The day also marked the inauguration of the Faculty Common Room, envisioned as a collaborative academic space.
In her address, Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena emphasized holistic legal education grounded in social responsibility and constitutional values. Advocate Akshay Pathak motivated students to embrace evolving legal challenges with integrity, while Prof. (Dr.) Vivekanandan outlined five guiding principles for aspiring law professionals, stressing attention to detail, analytical thinking, clarity in communication, teamwork, and creative problem-solving.
Presiding over the event, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sandeep Sharma urged students to pursue legal education with dedication, humility, and a commitment to justice.
The Deekshaarambh 2025 programme reaffirmed HPNLU’s dedication to fostering socially conscious, ethically grounded, and future-ready legal professionals.
