The event commenced with an inspiring address by the Chief Guest, Dr. Anuja Sharma, a retired Associate Professor who dedicated her career to St. Bede’s College, Shimla, from 1987 to 2022. Her motivational words set a powerful tone, encouraging participants to leverage their oratory skills for societal betterment.
Senior Division Performances:
The competition saw senior division contestants delivering exceptional performances, bringing life to renowned monologues. The pieces included “Andronicus” by William Shakespeare, “An Ideal Husband” by Oscar Wilde, “King Claudius” from Hamlet, and “The Eyes Have It” by Philip K. Dick. The audience was left bewitched by the participants’ ability to captivate and convey profound emotions.

Regarded as the most competitive and anticipated category, the Open category allowed creativity and perception driven by ebullience to thrive. Participants covered diverse topics such as current affairs, sociology, philosophy, and human psychology. Their immersive speeches invigorated and inspired the audience, emphasizing the importance of responsibility, accountability, and optimism.

A standout moment was a speaker’s reflection, “What matters to us, is what resides within us,” symbolizing the importance of self-acceptance and internal satisfaction over external validation.
