CBSE Conducts Two-Day Accountancy Core Workshop at St. Thomas’ School, Shimla

Shimla, August 5:
St. Thomas’ School, Shimla hosted a two-day CBSE-organized workshop on Accountancy (Core Subject) for Secondary Level on 4th and 5th August 2025. The workshop aimed at equipping teachers with simplified teaching methods for Accountancy, discussing syllabus structuring, sample papers, marking schemes, and ensuring qualitative teaching outcomes for students.

Chartered Accountant Sunil Kumar and Sumit Singla, former Assistant Professor at SD College, Chandigarh, served as keynote speakers and resource persons, sharing valuable insights into effective pedagogical strategies. The event commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by a formal welcome by the school’s Vice-Principal Mrs. Sharon Nanda.

The workshop saw participation from 38 educators across Shimla and neighbouring regions, including delegates from Haryana, fostering collaborative learning and exchange of best practices. Concluding the workshop, Mrs. Anshul Sharma (STANCY) extended heartfelt gratitude to the resource persons and participating teachers. Vice-Principal Mrs. Sharon Nanda emphasized CBSE’s continued focus on subject core workshops and capacity-building programs in the future.
