Bishop Cotton School Celebrates 165 Years of Excellence with Soccer Victory at Sanawar
1 min readShimla, 11 September 2024: Bishop Cotton School (BCS), Shimla, marked its 165th year of excellence in education with a thrilling victory at the All-India Bhupinder Singh Memorial Soccer Tournament held at The Lawrence School, Sanawar. In a closely contested final, BCS defeated Pinegrove School 3-2 on the rain-soaked Barnes field on 10th September.
The Chief Guest, HP DGP Dr. Atul Verma, praised the outstanding team spirit of the BCS boys, who overcame tough conditions to clinch the title. BCS Director, Simon Weale, expressed pride in the team, highlighting their resilience and hard work, which led them to win three major tournaments this year.
The tournament saw participation from eight top schools across India, with BCS emerging as the champions despite challenging weather. The victory is a testament to the rigorous training regime at BCS, where students engage in various sports and physical activities, building their strength and determination.
