19 Schools Prepare for the Final Stage
Shimla’s historic Gaiety Theatre came alive as 19 schools from across the region converged for three inspiring days of rehearsals ahead of the Bal Rangmanch Mahotsav 2025. Organized by Keekli Charitable Trust, Shimla, the festival is being mentored by veteran theatre stalwarts Sriniwas Joshi, Bhupender Sharma, Jawahar Kaul, and Vivek Mohan, with active support from emerging creative directors Shruti Rohta, Naresh K Mincha, Rupesh Bhimta, Neeraj Prashar, Sanjeev Arora, and Hemant Attri.
This rehearsal phase offered students a hands-on experience with the nuances of performance, from stagecraft and expression to mastering the technical complexities of light, sound, and space on the iconic Gothic Heritage Stage. The sessions included full dress rehearsals and guided workshops that not only refined their artistic skills but also boosted their confidence ahead of the final showcase scheduled from 3rd to 5th October.
In the weeks leading up to these three days, the creative directors visited each participating school, helping students evolve their performances through tailored rehearsals and narrative development.
