Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrated at Shoolini University

The Faculty of Legal Sciences, Shoolini University celebrated Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India( IBBI) in association with the Indian Institute of Insolvency Professionals of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI).
The ‘Awareness Programme about Insolvency Profession with Special Reference to Graduate Insolvency Programme (GIP)’ aims to encourage India’s youth to contribute to the nation-building process and be aware of key reforms being implemented by the government of India, including one aimed at managing the insolvency space with speed and agility.
Prof. Nandan Sharma, Associate Dean, Faculty of Legal Sciences, Shoolini University, welcomed the guests and briefed the audience about the need for the IBC.
Vishal Verma, student of LL.M. of Shoolini University, spoke about the journey and requirements of the IBC and how it has helped the companies to liquidate as per the procedure mentioned in the Code.
The special guest for the event was Mr. Chander Shekhar, – Insolvency Practioner, CA highlighted the importance of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 against the backdrop of mounting non-performing loans, with a view to establishing a consolidated framework for insolvency resolution of corporations.
Mr. Prabhat B,Insolvency Practitioner, Special Guest of the event said that the IBBI has endeavoured to ensure that the service providers are fit-and-proper persons and technically competent, and also have the motivation and drive to uphold the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.
Both the speakers appreciated the efforts by the university and faculty and motivated the students to be part of the course and guided them by sharing the experience and knowledge with a case study to become one of the most vibrant professionals in terms of the insolvency profession.
The event was concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Assistant Prof. Chander Mohan, Faculty of Legal Sciences, he concluded the session by sharing his knowledge and teaching experience about the IBC and its importance in the course of winding up.
Ms. Palak Sharma Assistant Professor, Law who was the Convener of the Awareness Programme. She thanked the delegates and staff of Shoolini University for underlying the importance of this awareness programme organised and was delighted to discover that the student had been given such an opportunity to advance in their career.
