42 Seats to be Filled Directly in PhD Programs at SPU Mandi

Sardar Patel University (SPU) Mandi is set to fill a total of 42 seats directly through admissions into various PhD programs. Following the completion of the application process, interviews for admissions will commence from March 21. Interviews for the PhD MBA course will be held at 10:30 am on March 21 at Mandav Complex, with separate interviews scheduled by each department to fill seats in other departments.

Currently, there are ongoing PhD studies on 40 seats across various departments at Sardar Patel University. Now, an additional 42 seats are being filled without entrance exams. These opportunities are extended to candidates who have qualified exams like UGC NET, JRF, CSIR-NET, ICMR, or exams sponsored by the Indian government. The subjects-wise distribution for candidates qualifying through JRF includes 12 seats in MBA, four in Botany, seven in Chemistry, five in Zoology, 12 in Physics, and four in History.

SPU’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Anupama Singh, mentioned that these 42 PhD seats are being filled directly by conducting interviews for candidates who have cleared the requisite examinations.
