Una: A youth accused of theft by breaking into toilets in Himachal Pradesh’s Una district’s Bangana police station has absconded. The accused is reported to have escaped after breaking a window in the police station bathroom. The police had planned to present the accused in court today. However, he managed to escape before that. Last Sunday, the accused was caught by villagers of Agalhor village based on suspicion.

In recent days, several thefts have occurred in places like Dhamandri, Kathoh, and Balh, including thefts in homes and temples. However, the police were unsuccessful in capturing the culprits. In some places, villagers had to take matters into their own hands. On Thursday, September 28, thieves stole jewelry worth 3.80 lakhs and 20,000 in cash from a house in Balh. Ravinder Kumar lodged a complaint with the Bangana police regarding this incident.

Meanwhile, in Kathoh, based on the clothes of the youth who committed theft, villagers stopped a man around 9 AM on Sunday. Upon searching him, they found a large quantity of jewelry and other items. In a video, the accused confessed to having committed thefts at four or five locations in the area. Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Bhatia stated that police teams are actively searching for the accused. Any discrepancies in the case will be investigated.
