Suspect Attempts to Flee During Court Appearance in Shimla

Shimla, September 19: A declared offender (DO) who was brought to the district court in the capital attempted to escape. According to information received from the police, Siddharth, a resident of Ludhiana, Punjab, was declared an offender in a previous case. He was recently apprehended by the police.

On Monday, he was brought to the court premises to appear before the magistrate. During this time, he tried to escape by jumping within the court premises. However, due to the prompt action of the police, he was unable to succeed in his plan. Siddharth sustained minor injuries when he attempted to jump.

A police officer stated on Tuesday that Siddharth has been booked under IPC sections 224 and 504 at Baluganj police station, and legal action is being taken against him.
