Cheating in name of Panchayati Raj Department

Shimla, April 24 – The miscreants have now started the game of cheating with phone calls in the name of Panchayati Raj Department. Their target is the panchayat secretary of the department. Panchayat secretaries are being threatened that people are complaining against them. The vicious people are saying that a demand is being made to investigate against you for being negligent in the development work of Panchayats. Money is being demanded from secretaries to settle panchayat related and personal complaints. Many panchayat secretaries of the state have also received such calls.

According to the Panchayati Raj Department, this is a fraud call. At the same time, cyber police have also advised people to be alert to avoid fraud. In fact, cyber criminals have changed the way they cheat online. In this, ATM card cloning, electricity bill, lucky draw, traffic challan, KYC, courier, valuables from abroad, stealing data of Aadhaar and ration card, KYC update, fake link through message on mobile and pretending to have lapsed ATM card. Have been cheating.

Now the secretaries of the panchayats of the state are being offered money in lieu of making phone calls to resolve the complaints. Himachal Pradesh Panchayat Secretary General Secretary Om Prakash told that he also got a call from an unknown number. Vicious said that I am speaking from the Panchayati Raj Department. On asking the name, the vicious person switched off the phone. He said that many panchayat secretaries have also received such phone calls. He is surprised that how did the secretaries’ phone numbers reach the miscreants. On the other hand, the Director of Panchayati Raj Department Kewal Sharma said that after examining the complaints at the directorate level, the concerned person is informed in writing. No calls are made regarding complaints from the directorate.
