Parking Site for International Kullu Dussehra to Be Auctioned on November 3

Kullu, November 2: An open auction for the allocation of the parking site located to the left of the District Library will be held on November 3 during the International Kullu Dussehra Festival 2026. The auction will take place at 11 am on the upper floor of the Multipurpose Building (Bachat Bhawan), Kullu.

District Tourism Development Officer and Chairman of the Plot Allotment Committee, Rohit Sharma, said the parking site would be allotted for the period from November 3 to November 22, 2026. Interested bidders can participate in the auction subject to the prescribed terms and conditions.

Each bidder must deposit a security amount of Rs. 10,000 in cash or through a bank draft in favour of the Deputy Commissioner-cum-Vice Chairman, Dussehra Festival Committee, Kullu. The amount must be submitted to the undersigned at the auditorium of Bachat Bhawan at 11 am on November 3. The security deposits of all unsuccessful bidders will be refunded on the same day.

The reserve bid has been fixed at Rs. 75,000, inclusive of GST. An additional Rs. 100 will be charged for issuing an identity card and Rs. 5,000 for maintenance. The successful bidder must deposit the entire bid amount within 24 hours.

The allottee will be required to produce an identity card and will not be permitted to occupy any area beyond the designated site. Violation of the rules may lead to cancellation of the allotment and issuance of a challan. The security deposit of the parking site will be refunded after November 22, 2026, subject to receipt of the concerned committee’s report.

Sharma said all bidders would be required to comply with the rules and conditions prescribed by the Dussehra Committee. The District Magistrate-cum-Vice Chairman of the Dussehra Festival Committee reserves the right to cancel the allotment without assigning any reason.
