DC Mukesh Repaswal Directs Time-Bound Resolution of Pending FRA Cases in Chamba
Chamba, October 27, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal has directed officials to ensure the time-bound resolution of pending Forest Rights Act (FRA) clearance cases related to development projects in Chamba district.
Chairing a review meeting involving the Chamba, Bharmour, Dalhousie and Churah forest divisions, the DC reviewed the status of pending cases, reasons for delays and measures required to expedite clearances.
He instructed the concerned departments and Forest Department officials to complete the necessary formalities promptly and forward cases for approval. He also stressed better inter-departmental coordination to accelerate the process.
Special attention was directed towards FRA-related clearances for cow shelters at the panchayat level, educational facilities, parking areas and link roads. Officials were asked to address pending issues and ensure that departmental procedures are completed within stipulated timelines.
