Himachal Approves Uniform Class IX Curriculum in Government Schools

Shimla, Oct 23 : The Himachal Pradesh government has approved new measures to ensure uniformity in the Class IX curriculum across government schools affiliated with or approved for CBSE affiliation.

Under the directives, Kaushal Vikas will be compulsory for all Class IX students and assessed through school-based internal assessment. Mathematics Advanced and Science Advanced will remain optional, with separate examinations carrying 25 marks each.

Students migrating from schools offering Punjabi or Urdu as the R3 language may continue studying the subject under specified conditions. Schools have been directed to implement the approved measures in accordance with CBSE guidelines before Class IX registration begins on the CBSE portal.
