RSETI Trains 32 Women in Mushroom Cultivation

Hamirpur, September 26: Punjab National Bank Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Hamirpur, organised a 10-day training programme on mushroom cultivation, which concluded here on Saturday. A total of 32 women participated in the programme and received practical training in mushroom cultivation.

At the concluding session, RSETI Director Ajay Katna said participants could take up mushroom cultivation on a larger scale even with limited space at home after completing the training. He said RSETI could also assist them in obtaining loans from various banks to establish their ventures.

Katna urged the participants to make use of loan and subsidy schemes offered by government departments and banks. He also encouraged them to avail themselves of welfare and financial schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, PPF accounts and Kisan Credit Cards.

As part of the programme, the participants were provided free training as well as an exposure visit to Shiv Shakti Mushroom Farm at Manoha village in Bhoranj subdivision. The visit provided them an opportunity to gain practical insights into mushroom cultivation and farm-level practices.
