Preparations Reviewed for President Droupadi Murmu’s Proposed Atal Tunnel Visit
Kullu, September 19, 2026: A review meeting was held on Saturday at the auditorium of the Multipurpose Building, Kullu, to assess preparations for President Droupadi Murmu’s proposed visit to Atal Tunnel Rohtang in October. The meeting was chaired by Additional District Magistrate Surjeet Singh Rathore.
Officials from the district administration, DGR&E Manali, Border Roads Organisation and the Department of Telecommunications attended the meeting. The ADM conducted a detailed review of preparations related to the proposed presidential visit and issued necessary directions to the concerned departments.
Arrangements related to security, traffic management, communication, electricity and drinking water supply, parking and other essential facilities were reviewed. The ADM directed all departments to complete the assigned tasks within the stipulated timeframe.
He stressed the need for close coordination among all concerned agencies and directed officials to discharge their responsibilities with diligence and promptness. He said all necessary arrangements must be put in place well in advance in view of the proposed visit.
